Avalon

Sculpted in idyllic surroundings, combining tea plantations, rivers, ravines, mountains and a sweeping view of the Southern coastline, Avalon Golf Estate will offer you a unique golfing experience in Mauritius. Featuring an undulating, windswept terrain and ravine-style landscape, our international standard golf course, designed by world-renowned South-African architect Peter Matkovich is set in the heart of nature in Bois Cheri. Not only is Avalon the best golf course, it is also the only inland championship course available in Mauritius and which is easily accessible from all parts of the island. Avalon will offer its guests an exclusive golf experience in a diverse, yet welcoming environment, where the climate is perfect for a golf round.

Heritage

This 27-hole golf complex which was designed by Peter Matkovich and opened in 2004, comprises an 18 hole championship golf course, a 9 hole Par 3 course, exceptional practice facilities, golf academy, clubhouse, restaurant and golf shop. With 5 teeing options on each hole, golfers of all levels are catered for.

The course was recently recognized as one of the Top 10 golf courses in Africa, according to global news broadcaster CNN, and in November of 2014 and 2015 claimed the title of “Best golf course in the Indian Ocean” at the World Golf Awards in Portugal.

île Aux Cerfs

Designed by the famous golf player Bernhard Langer, the golf club is accessible to players of all levels. The course covers 38 hectares on the southern half of the Ile aux Cerfs island with the holes snaking up and down the length of the island, boasting naturally undulating topography, volcanic rock outcrops, lakes and gullies, and a variety of tropical trees and plants.

The championship golf club went through major changes since 2013 to ensure a greater experience in terms of playability and spectacular views; with the holes snaking up and down the length of the island. Most holes have views of the ocean – some with glimpses across clearings through the trees; others by coming close to the shore. It has been recognised to be the no. 1 golf club to play in a lifetime by Golf World.

La Reserve Golf Links

Challenge yourself on La Reserve Golf Links set in the breathtaking lush South-West region of Mauritius, features panoramic ocean views from every hole and offers an unparalleled experience of pure golfing drama within the 2,500-hectare Bel Ombre estate.

La Reserve Golf Links – reserved for club members and residents of Heritage Golf
Club’s two luxury beachside resorts and villas – has been co-designed by former Open
Champion Louis Oosthuizen, alongside acclaimed course architect Peter Matkovich.

Inspired by the wild open spaces of the great seaside links, the course’s elevated tees,
raised greens and spectacular views over Mauritius’ tropical bays and southern shores
promises an exhilarating playing experience.

Mont Choisy

Mont Choisy Le Golf is much more than another championship course, it is above all a Mauritian golfing asset that enhances the natural beauty of the island, its mountain views and one which complements the history of the area.

Designed by world-renown golf course architect, Peter Matkovich, this masterpiece has a unique blend of holes including 5 par 5’s; 5 par 3’s and 8 par 4’s which make up the par total of 72. An exciting, yet testy mix of holes make this golf course the new ‘’must play’’ course on the Island.

Paradis

The outstanding Paradis Golf Course emphasizes the site’s unique scenery and tropical feel. Fringed by the crystal-clear lagoon of Black River on one side and backed by the legendary Morne Brabant Mountain on the other, it offers a peerless combination of stunning scenery and challenging play. Built within the resort’s grounds, the golf course offers 5 different tees.

Tamarina

Open since October 2006, Tamarina Golf Club is not only set in a stunning
environment, but also offers a fun and challenging test of all golfing skills. Yes, it is long and demanding from the blacks…and well it should be. But the course was designed with a various of teeing positions. A lot of emphasis was placed on designing Tamarina Golf Club as a fair and enjoyable course from the whites in particular.
“A great golf course should be memorable. At Tamarina Golf Club, we are blessed with an amazingly beautiful and dramatic piece of ground.”
Rodney Wright – Course designer.

The Legend

The Legend Golf Course is a parkland type of course with beautiful mature trees and lush vegetation between the different fairways. It also has water hazards on almost every hole, making this golf course a very technical but fair challenge for the players. Power is not the priority on the Legend. You need to be accurate with your drives if you want to beat the course. The 12th & 13th holes are the “Amen Corner” of this course. Many players have lost tournaments on these holes.
On hole 12, which is a par four, you have to be on the green in two to get away with a par, missing the green means trouble. The 13th hole is a short par five that is very narrow. Depending on your strategy, you could complete this hole with a birdie or a triple bogey. The par three 17th is the signature hole. With a drive of 140 meters over the lagoon, it is a very exciting shot for every golfer.

The green is fairly large and you have a magnificent view of the lagoon.

The Links

Constance Belle Mare Plage’s other course, the Peter Alliss/Rodney Wright designed Links course is an equally challenging 5942 metres par 71 layout that opened for play in 2002. The Golf course is equipped with a practice fairway and built according to USPGA specifications. With much less water than the Legend course several lakes, the Links still test the golfer on the back nine, particularly on the par four 13th and par three 14th both of which require short iron approaches over water to small greens. For the rest of the holes, when the water is not challenging, there are plenty of strategically placed bunkers and outcrops of volcanic rock to keep the golfer on his or her toes.
With its own Golf Academy with professional and qualified golf instructors, coaching sessions are available both individually and in group and free green fee for guests staying in Constance Belle Mare Plage and Constance Le Prince Maurice.

The Nine

Set inland along the Riviere du Rempart, the golf course has a total length of 1,348 yards and offers a fun, enjoyable and challenging experience that will have golfers lining up for additional rounds. The course is spectacular and has many holes with views of the Riviere du Rempart.

With 9 world class par 3 holes and a dramatic finishing hole of 134 meters that plays to an island green in front of the clubhouse, that will be truly memorable. This gentle yet terrifying hole will test the very best players, and your heart will be pounding on the tee in anticipation of the tee shot that awaits. The tricky wind that Mauritius is known for, adds to the difficulty of landing your ball on the green.

The unique model for Azuri allows all levels of players – including the best – to enjoy a full and challenging game of golf in 90 minutes. Challenges include a diversity of settings, such as four downhill holes alongside the river, and greens combining technical and aesthetic character. Great for families who already play, or want to learn, and for those who are used to 18 holes yet prefer to fit in a round of golf in their busy week, each hole offers three tee options: back for pros; forward for the regular player; ladies tee.
